Point Of Grace

An online journal of a newlywed on the journey of marriage -- going through the different tides, the highs and the lows, the various points in life with the flaming desire to reach a point of grace. And with pun intended, this journal is my little space where I intend to share my thoughts and day to day experiences my point of view, the point of Grace.

Pinoy Flavor

We decided to hold the US wedding reception this coming April 2nd. It will be held at a function room of big church in the area. We dont want it to be so formal. We are inviting about 100 people mostly Patrick's family and friends in the area. I have to make sure that all the invitations are out next week so that I would know the headcount. This is going to be brutal! We will be doing most of the "work" involved in this gathering. I wanted the reception to be Pinoy-inspired so we are serving Filipino food and for souvenir/favor for guests, we are giving out this Papemelroti bride and groom (in Filipiniana attire). Its a cute little memento that I know our guests will find unique and nice. My Marketing Blockmates gave this as a wedding present to us. It is packed and ready to go, I just need to make labels to personalize it which shouldnt be too hard. Well, I better get cracking and work on our menu and work on the invitations.

Mrs. GGG

We just got back from Manila. We spent more than 8 weeks there planning and preparing for the wedding. I used to blog using our wedding online journal at livejournal but I decided to use make a new blog since I will most likely talk about non-wedding related matters. I am now Mrs. GGG! Ive always thought that I have a long last name but now, I actually have a longer last name, harder to pronounce and spell! Since most people are still trying to get used to my new last name, they just address me as Mrs. GGG! :-)

I dont really mind. G-I-A-G-N-O-C-A-V-O is a pretty difficult name to spell and pronounce. Since we live in the US, its not going to be a surprise to a lot of people if I chose to keep my maiden name. I used to always laugh at the many ways Patrick's last name is spelled or pronounced.

I was surprised to see snow when we arrived in the US. I thought that winter would be over by the time we get here. We weren't dressed properly so I was freezing cold while waiting for the car service that Patrick hired to pick us up at the airport to take us home. We were so glad that we had that car service because the roads were icey and traffic was bad and the snow was falling hard. We pretty much slept all the way from the Baltimore Washington Intl Airport to our home in Mount Joy, PA.

Anyway, I have to do a lot of unpacking and we need to get settled in so I better end this here but before I do that, let me thank everyone in Manila -- our families and friends who made our stay in Manila so much fun and the wedding so wonderful.

Till we meet again!
